North Laurel Animal Hospital in Laurel, Maryland has been added to our growing family of practices. The hospital becomes our 355th partner practice and our 15th location in the Old Line State.
Originally founded in 1981 by Dr. Bob Cohn, North Laurel Animal Hospital has been providing high quality care to local companion animals for close to four decades.
A New York native, Dr. Cohn moved to the Philippines to pursue his DVM degree. He graduated from Araneta University in 1979 and returned to New York to work at a surgical referral practice. Two years later, he relocated to Maryland where he founded North Laurel Animal Hospital. Dr. Cohn is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and was among the first 50 veterinarians in the world to become PennHIP certified.
He works alongside Dr. Mark Russo, a 2003 graduate of Canada’s Atlantic Veterinary College. Dr. Russo has worked with animals in a variety of settings. During his senior year of veterinary school, he externed at a wildlife hospital in California as well as at the San Francisco Zoo. He has also volunteered at a mixed animal practice and the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, California, where he rehabilitated and released seals, sea lions, sea otters, dolphins, and whales.
The doctors are supported by their hospital manager, Susan Phillips, and an enthusiastic group of veterinary technicians and receptionists who love their work.
North Laurel Animal Hospital offers their clients a wide range of services, including wellness exams, vaccines, microchipping, boarding and grooming, dentistry, and surgery. Their goal is to treat their patients like the valued family members they are.
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to the clients, staff, and pets of North Laurel Animal Hospital!
