Staying up to date with vet med

February 27, 2024

Our veterinarians and staff are always looking to stay ahead of the latest in vet med. They return to their teams to share new skills and approaches to caring for their furry friends. Here are a some hospitals that are soaking in the knowledge from other veterinarians, utilizing calming fear free techniques, and of course a couple of celebration stories are mixed in.

Star Meadow Animal ClinicStar Meadow Animal Clinic- Farmington, Connecticut
Seeking out and attending continuing education seminars is nothing new for our veterinarians. Drs Battiston and Malament from Star Meadow Animal Clinic both attended a local meeting at Pieper Veterinary. They listened to a great presentation by Dr. Matthew Turner, Head of Resuscitation & Critical Care Medicine at Piper Veterinary. No doubt they will be able to utilize what they learned immediately.

PetVet Animal HospitalPetVet Animal Hospital - Honolulu, Hawaii
At PetVet Animal Hospital you can feel the love as soon as you walk in the door. They use fear free methods to make their patients and clients feel at ease This may include getting down on their furry friend's level, creating a calming environment, and understanding their comfort level. It’s an added bonus when the team coordinates their outfits like they did this month.

Cavanaugh Pet HospitalCavanaugh Pet Hospital - Blue Spring Missouri
Taking some time to relax and refresh the team at Cavanaugh Pet Hospital had a Valentine's Day party after their staff training lead by Dr. Lisa Fleishchmann. On top of a great lunch together they also crafted their very own Valentine’s Day boxes and handed out sweat treats to each other. We spy some Chiefs gear in there, too.

Sunset Animal ClinicSunset Animal Clinic - West Columbia, South Carolina
It wasn’t just Valentine's Day this month it was Dr. Greg Brown’s birthday. The team got together for this great shot complete with his special cake. When the team at Sunset Animal Clinic shared this photo the comments went wild, it is clear that Dr. Brown’s patients adore him and were celebrating along with him.

Rae-Zor Boarding and Grooming Rae-Zor Boarding and Grooming - Sanford, North Carolina
When nail trims look like this you know you are getting the quality care your pup deserves. Everyone gets this level of attention at Rae-Zor Boarding and Grooming, but don’t tell Sully that. He thinks he is getting preferential treatment and the team would like to keep playing along.
