It’s Random Acts of Kindness Week! This is the perfect time to sprinkle a little joy and kindness into the lives of those around you. Even better, consider making kindness the norm and add one or two of these actions to your daily, weekly, or monthly routine.
Teamwork is essential, and there are many ways to positively impact your team with acts of kindness:
Share positive feedback – When a team member achieves something they were working hard on or handles a difficult situation well, let them know how great it was.
Celebrate Milestones – Recognize birthdays, work anniversaries, and other personal achievements.
Respect Breaks – Make sure everyone gets their well-deserved breaks.
Listen Actively – Be the go-to person for a good chat. Show genuine interest in your colleagues' thoughts and concerns.
Offer Help – If you see someone overwhelmed, offer to assist them with their tasks.
You have even more chances to spread kindness and make someone's day a little brighter as a student:
Practice Empathy – Put yourself in your classmates' shoes and offer support when they need it.
Share Opportunities – Found a cool externship or ambassador program? Share the news with your classmates and watch their faces light up.
Celebrate Successes – Acknowledge and celebrate your classmates' achievements, big or small.
Study Together – Organize study groups to help each other understand difficult concepts.
Leave a Kind Note – Write a positive message and leave it on a fellow student’s or professor's desk.
Which of these acts of kindness do you think would have the most impact in your context?
