Fun Initiatives for Continuing Education

Fun Initiatives for Continuing Education

September 24, 2021

Our Vet Leaders are always finding new ways to improve VetLife here at VetCor. Veterinarians are often faced with challenges and our leaders have implemented some fun learning initiatives to help newer practitioners learn how to navigate those challenges.

Our VetLife leaders have been hosting monthly virtual meetings to discuss different topics. One of the events featured speaker Josh Vaisman who made a presentation titled “Rockstar Resilience and Harnessing Happy Hormones to Deal with Difficult People.” The attendees were able to receive two hours of continuing education credit. After receiving rave reviews, the program will continue next month with a guest speaker who will discuss financial management and student loans.

Our veterinarians often communicate on Slack and sometimes fun learning opportunities pop up. Dr. Sarah Fischer recently shared that her darling dachshund dog swallowed a mystery object. It made for some interesting radiographs which prompted a “Guess the Foreign Body Item” contest. Dr. Kimberly Brito guessed correctly - the dog swallowed a bottle of eye drops! The winning guess won a Yeti VetLife water bottle. Well done, Dr. Brito!

We can’t wait to see what fun initiatives the VetLife team comes up with next! If you have questions or would like to be a part of the VetLife community, email vetlife@vetcor.com.
