Established in 1981, Renfrew Animal Hospital has been a cornerstone of veterinary care in Renfrew and its neighboring communities. Their comprehensive services encompass general veterinary care and routine procedures for a wide range of animals, including dogs, cats, cattle, horses, and small ruminants. Proudly serving Renfrew, Calabogie, Arnprior, Pakenham, Braeside, Foresters Falls, Beachburg, Cobden, Douglas, Eganville, Shawville, Clarendon, Campbell's Bay, and the surrounding areas, the hospital's commitment to animal welfare extends across the region. Notably, large animal services are exclusively available in Ontario.
Valley Veterinary Clinic, Carleton Place, ON, Canada
Founded by Dr. John Stinson in 1970, Valley Veterinary Clinic initially operated from his residence on Charlotte St. in Carleton Place, alongside Dr. Linwood Fisher. Transitioning to the current location in the mid-70s, the clinic served both small animal owners in Carleton Place and the wider agricultural community. The clinic's spacious and luminous environment fostered a positive atmosphere for staff and clients alike. Helen Douglas, who joined the clinic in 1979, contributed significantly, particularly in assisting with calving, often traveling to areas like Ompah and Maberly. As the surrounding area evolved and other clinics assumed the agricultural role, changes ensued. Dr. Douglas took over the practice from Dr. Stinson in 1995, with Dr. Button joining the equine practice in 2006, later transitioning to focus on small animals. With Dr. Douglas's retirement in August 2013, Dr. Button assumed management of the clinic, which now collaborates with Mississippi Mills Animal Hospital in Almonte and Renfrew Animal Hospital. Together, they aim to uphold a legacy of providing quality and compassionate care to patients across the region for years to come.
