I was the sole doctor at my practice during the pandemic. While this might sound like a nightmare, I had the support of Vetcor's network and was encouraged to work outside of my comfort zone—it actually brought my team closer. Beyond my veterinary skills, my time at Vetcor has helped me develop a business and economic skill set—understanding profit and loss, revenue stream etc. Vetcor is a great place to work!
There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.
The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors has helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
