Dr. John Calhoun graduated from Texas A&M in 1990 and began practicing at North Carrollton Veterinary Hospital in 1991. His special interests include endocrinology, cardiology, and internal medicine. In the ever-growing field of veterinary medicine, Dr. Calhoun enjoys mentoring future DVMs in becoming compassionate and intuitive doctors while also guiding them toward their perfect clinic in Vetcor. He is also a proud member of the Texas Veterinary Medical Association & Texas Association of Veterinary Practitioners, serves on the board of directors for the North Texas Emergency Pet Clinic, and is a former board member of the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association (DCVMA).
He is married with 2 kids and 2 four-legged children named Daisy & Buzz; these wild Boxers know how to keep the family on their toes! In his spare time, he enjoys attending Dallas Stars games, playing golf, watching Aggie football, and practicing martial arts. Fun fact: He’s a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu!
