About the Role

Penny Paws Animal Hospital - San Antonio is ready to hire a licensed or experienced veterinary technician to help create a kind, welcoming clinic culture. We know a happy, healthy staff is essential to comprehensive patient care and want you to bring your authentically awesome self. 

Our clinic is brand-new and ready to offer everything from laser therapy to behavioral consultations and even ultrasound. We value and practice fear-free and feline-friendly techniques and look forward to improving the lives of both our patients and clients.    

As an experienced veterinary technician, you already know what it takes to be a successful veterinary professional. Some of the critical skills that we are looking for with this particular opportunity include: 

• Proficient ability in performing all skills of a surgical technician, including anesthetizing, maintaining, monitoring, and recovering patients perioperatively. 

• Proficient in drug calculations 

• Proficient ability in performing all skills of an exam room technician 

• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement
