About the Role

At Pine Lakes Animal Hospital, we’re passionate about providing the highest level of care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients. We pride ourselves on our compassionate, team-oriented atmosphere and are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. 

We are seeking an experienced and caring Veterinary Technician to support our medical team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing a wide range of technical duties and possess a strong passion for animal care. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist in the preparation and performance of various medical procedures and surgeries 

• Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian 

• Monitor anesthetized patients and maintain vital signs during procedures 

• Perform diagnostic tests (blood work, urinalysis, etc.) 

• Collect and prepare laboratory samples for analysis 

• Provide emergency care and first aid to patients 

• Educate pet owners on health and wellness topics 

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation 

• Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive client relationships 

Qualifications: 

• State certification (CVT, LVT, RVT) preferred 

• Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or hospital setting 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment 

• Passion for animal care and client education
