Are you an experienced veterinary technician who is looking for a full or part-time job? Are you looking for a welcoming, team-based work environment? Are you looking to practice excellent veterinary care? Are you looking for leadership opportunities? In room or surgery-based responsibilities?
SeaPort Veterinary Hospital is a paperless, full-service hospital within walking distance to Good Harbor Beach. We treat cats, dogs, exotics and local wildlife, and we complement our standard medical care by offering laser therapy, dental radiography, and ultrasound services. We are currently using a cloud-based EMR software system called ezyVet. This program is generally easy to use and comes with an online training program to help you understand it quickly. We also use an additional software system for anesthesia purposes called SmartFlow, which is primarily used for hospital flow purposes, monitoring anesthesia, logging medications, and dental charting. These systems used by our team can easily be accessed on designated iPads or computers.
We hold weekly department meetings and monthly staff meetings to keep communication flowing and work on solutions for issues that arise. We work hard to maintain a culture of respect and hard work, and we believe in upholding professional boundaries while valuing the need to laugh and lean on each other for support.
Applicants would ideally be competent at phlebotomy (jugular and peripheral) and placing IV catheters. Other required skills include patient restraint, operating lab equipment, performing x-rays, administering oral and injectable medications, and monitoring anesthesia. Previous experience as a veterinary technician is REQUIRED (we will not be able to reply to applicants who have not worked in this capacity before). Shifts may include a Saturday morning rotation sometime in the future, however, we are only open Monday through Friday at this time. No emergency hours or on-call.
Candidates must have solid interpersonal skills and need to be able to multitask, exhibit professional behavior, work well in a close-knit team environment, and thrive on treating patients, coworkers and clients with respect and compassion.

I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.
There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.
The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors have helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
There is a career path for everybody and not a one size fits all approach.
Join a group of motivated veterinary professionals while taking advantage of employee programs, resources, and fantastic benefits. Join one of our many collaboration groups for Hospital Managers, Techs, and Vets! Plus, we love supporting growth in your teams' desired career paths.
