Animal Medical Center in Skokie, Illinois has an opening for a small animal veterinarian. Our doctors are supported by a dedicated, long tenured support team. Our facility offers endoscopy (rigid and flexible), laparoscopy and laparoscopic surgery, acupuncture and Chinese herbal, and orthopedic surgery. We are proud to support the local animal shelter, Orphans of the Storm. Fun fact, we spayed Michael Jordan's dog "Jazz".
There is a lot of opportunity for growth for an experienced veterinarian. Also, a new grad will have the opportunity to mentor with our chief of staff who has a passion for teaching laparoscopy, endoscopy and ultrasound. Our full-time vet schedule is 4-day work week with a rotational Saturday shift. We value the overall health of our employees and close the clinic one Saturday a month to afford everyone a little balance.
Skokie is a North Shore suburb of Chicago, and close to O’Hare International Airport. The community has an amazing parks district that is dedicated to offering beautiful open spaces and first rate facilities. We are also home to outstanding school districts, making it a great place to live.
Benefits include superior salary, medical benefits (including health, dental and vision), 401(k), employee assistance program (EAP), CE allowance, vacation, dues, liability coverage, and so much more.

I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.
There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.
The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors have helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
There is a career path for everybody and not a one size fits all approach.
