Meet Our Medical Director: Dr. Marla Saltzman Dr. Marla Saltzman, our esteemed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, brings over 25 years of veterinary experience to Amici Pet Hospital. Born and raised on the East Coast, Dr. Saltzman attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for her undergraduate degree and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from UC Davis in 1991. Her extensive career includes practicing in North County and Downtown San Diego, where she honed her skills in internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry, and general surgery. In 2013, she fulfilled her dream by opening Amici Pet Hospital, where she continues to lead with a vision of excellence in pet care.

Meet Our Team: You’ll be joining a supportive and skilled team, including 2-3 techs/assistants per doctor and a licensed RVT. One of our doctors is even pursuing ABVP certification, highlighting our commitment to continued learning and excellence.

Our state-of-the-art facility, newly built in 2013, offers 2,500 sq ft of modern, light-filled space, including 4 exam rooms (3 for dogs, 1 cat-only), a spacious treatment area, and a well-equipped surgical suite. The salary for this position can range from $140,000 -$165,000 + annually for a 40-hour work week (4/10s) and will be determined based on previous experience skill set and practice type.

I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.

I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor.
