Royston Animal Hospital in Royston, Georgia is looking to bring a new small animal veterinarian on board our mixed animal practice, and we have an exciting opportunity for a doctor to lead our dynamic team. Our clinic serves the local canines and felines, as well as equines and other large animals.
Our six-doctor team works alongside four LVT’s and a large experienced support staff, and we usually have four staff members per doctor so that every doctor is incredibly well supported and our days go by smoothly and efficiently.
Our inviting facility is state-of-the-art, and we offer digital x-rays, digital dental x-rays, and advanced soft tissue surgery.
We truly love what we do and the impact we make on the community. We work closely with our local shelter, Northeast Georgia Animal Shelter, as well as several local rescue groups and humane societies in our area which includes cats, dogs, and one pig rescue group.
This position would be a great fit for an experienced vet who is looking for a step up in their career to a leadership role, or someone with experience leading a team who is seeking a change of pace.
Our clinic is located in the Piedmont region of northeast Georgia, where we can see the mountains from our rolling hills. We are 15 minutes away from one of the largest and most beautiful recreational lakes in Georgia. We have lots of outdoor activities in our area, including hiking, boating, kayaking, and camping. We are 30 minutes north of Athens, Georgia "Home of the GA Bulldogs", for any entertainment and any of your shopping needs.
We offer competitive salary, medical benefits (including health, dental and vision), 401(k), employee assistance program (EAP), CE allowance, vacation, dues, liability coverage, mentorship and so much more.
I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.
There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.
The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors have helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
There is a career path for everybody and not a one size fits all approach.
