Join Gwinnett Animal Clinic family as our next associate veterinarian and become part of something truly special! Located in Lawrenceville, Georgia, we strive to live our vision to provide quality care for pets and have genuine concern for people. Each member of our long tenured and skilled staff is focused on client education and communication because we believe a better educated client is a better partner. Our practice is deeply rooted in the community, and we have a great reputation. We are a general practice that sees, treats, and manages a wide variety and large case load of medical, dental, and surgical conditions.
Our beautifully renovated facility features the following equipment to support the highest standard of medicine for our beloved patients:
New grads and experienced vets are encouraged to apply. A new doctor would benefit from mentee-directed support, including longer appointment times and 1 on 1 surgical training. There are no after hours or overnights required, and the strategic scheduling of appointments, along with the efficiency of our experienced team allows our staff to leave the clinic soon after closing time at 5:30, so that everyone can enjoy their time off with friends and family.
GAC is happy to be family friendly and understanding that "life happens," so we allow our team members to bring their children in to work with them on occasion, and we are supportive of the parents on our team taking time away from work when they would like to attend their children's school events or handle other things that come up unexpectedly.
We are a proud member of our community, and we provide care for our city as well as our county police dogs. We also provide services for several local rescue groups, including Society of Humane Friends, Planned Pethood, and Creative Enterprises, a local organization that also assists special needs adults looking for employment.
Lawrenceville is approximately halfway between Atlanta and Athens, and we are within a few hours of the coast as well as the mountains. Lawrenceville is home to a highly rated school system, as well as Georgia Gwinnett College, a rapidly growing institution. Our downtown, which is easily within walking distance from our clinic, is home to numerous restaurants as well as a top-notch community theater. Within a stone’s throw of our clinic is a microbrewery and a distillery that opens soon, which bring together the college students with the citizens of our community. While we have a wide socioeconomic variety of clients, our client base is generally very amenable to allowing and affording recommended diagnostic and treatment procedures.
Benefits include competitive compensation packages, medical benefits (including health, dental and vision), 401(k), employee assistance program (EAP), CE allowance, vacation, dues, liability coverage, and so much more.

I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.
There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.
The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors have helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
There is a career path for everybody and not a one size fits all approach.
