Lake Station Pet Clinic is hiring a Full-Time or Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join their highly effective and close-knit team! We are a full-service hospital for dogs, cats and the occasional bird, with long-established roots in our community and a reputation for combining high-quality medicine with exceptional client service. Our doctors consistently work together to combine careful and thorough examinations with the latest research on our cases to ensure that we provide the best care possible, so you could expect to join a highly collaborative and respectful team.
New grads are welcome to apply, as are more experienced doctors hoping to learn from a collaborative team with a wide range of experience and areas of interest. Our doctors have much wisdom and knowledge to impart upon less experienced veterinarians. We are proud of our family-like environment where accomplishments are celebrated, and teamwork is prized. You can also expect an outstanding work/life balance with a flexible schedule with no on-call, emergency or after-hours requirement.
Our recently remodeled hospital offers:
We are proud of our community connections, and work with the Feline Community Network and Hobart Humane Society, which is reflective of our commitment to our mission to treat animals. A fun fact about our practice is that President Lincoln stayed in a hotel in Lake Station, and that hotel was actually on the same site that our clinic stands today. We love our connection to that little piece of history.
Lake Station is a well-connected community not far from big city living in Chicago, and about a 10-minute drive from Lake Michigan and beautiful Warren Dunes State Park in Michigan, where you can enjoy beautiful scenery and outdoor fun. The area offers many local and state parks as well as easy access to Michigan wine country. The area offers something unique for everyone!

I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out. Stonebridge has been one of the best places I have worked and has done nothing but help me pursue my goal of becoming an LVT.
There are programs including VetLife Days and Lend-a-Hand that allow you to spend time at other clinics. I have met some wonderful colleagues this way and have also been able to expand my leadership skills within Vetcor. I actually learned that I love teaching and supporting other veterinarians, especially new graduates. I love soft tissue surgery, so to be able to pass on that knowledge and skill set to new grads, giving them the confidence and skills they need to excel, has been very rewarding. It has been an amazing journey with Vetcor so far and I am excited to continue to be part of this amazing group.
The mentorship and advice from the Vetcor Chief of Staff Advisors have helped me become a better veterinarian and surgeon. They have filled me with confidence in order to become a better leader. Vetcor has been a great corporation to work for.
There is a career path for everybody and not a one size fits all approach.
Join a group of motivated veterinary professionals while taking advantage of employee programs, resources, and fantastic benefits. Join one of our many collaboration groups for Hospital Managers, Techs, and Vets! Plus, we love supporting growth in your teams' desired career paths. Gain access to mentorship at all levels, continuing education, wellness resources, and more!
