Join our team at Horton Animal Hospital Discovery in Columbia, MO, and be part of a rapidly growing, 24-hour emergency hospital offering general practice services during regular hours. We’re a trusted referral center for hospitals within 200 miles, known for our dedication to quality patient care and our supportive, team-oriented environment.
We are seeking Full-Time Veterinarians (part-time positions considered) who bring strong clinical skills, enthusiasm, excellent communication, and a good sense of humor to our team. Our veterinarians can choose from ER-only or combined GP/ER roles, depending on their preferences. Typical full-time schedules involve three to four 12-hour shifts per week (around 40-42 hours) with both daytime and overnight options available.

Our veterinarians work together closely, sharing knowledge and collaborating on cases for the best outcomes. With a large and growing support staff, our entire team is dedicated to providing excellent care, and we emphasize continuous learning and skill development.
Columbia, Missouri offers a wide range of local amenities like intimate concert venues, art and music festivals, beautiful parks, and excellent restaurants. It is a great place to live, work and plant deep family roots. There are miles of trails for biking and hiking and the Lake of the Ozarks is close by. The metro areas of Kansas City and St. Louis are only two hours away with large airports, major league sports, and world-class arts and entertainment events. Columbia and the surrounding areas support many colleges as well as the University of Missouri, which provides a diverse, academically-oriented population that values excellent care for their pets.

I would highly recommend anyone to work for a Vetcor clinic because of all the available resources they offer to their employees! These resources vary from continuing education to the importance of mental health and not burning out.
