Animal Clinic of Honolulu has openings for Licensed Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants. We are conveniently located in Kaimuki right on Koko Head Avenue. We have a large, modern facility with lots of space. Our hospital is an extremely fast-paced environment and we rely on our technicians and assistants to utilize their technical skills, medical knowledge, and communication skills to be successful. Our doctors are very experienced with a combined 54 years in practice so we will challenge you to be your best and to succeed. We stress excellent medical care and customer service. We do major surgeries other general practices would refer, dentals with major extractions, and we manage challenging medical cases. We provide specialized services such as Penn HIP, Platelet Rich Plasma injections, and Stem Cell therapy. We encourage leadership and promotions from within.
Duties include: Dental prophylaxis with minor extractions and suturing, anesthesia monitoring, intubation, surgery prep/assisting in surgery, treating hospitalized patients, taking x-rays, running in house labwork, prepping ear cytologies and fine needle aspirates, processing Idexx/Antech samples, venipuncture, IVC placement, rooming clients and taking a full medical history, and more.

Pay is commensurate with experience and ability. Currently all RVT with at least 2 years experience make $24/hour minimum. All new graduate RVT and assistants with at least 1 year experience make $20/hour minimum.
