Thankful Thursday: A Thankful Valentine

There are a lot of thankful notes going out to our team members this Valentine's week. Proud to be on Team Vetcor!

Tarin Calvario from Suffern Animal Hospital, Suffern, New York, wants to recognize the whole team: "I would like to thank them for the great job they are doing.  They are a super well-oiled machine that smiles daily. They help make the job fun and interesting."

Hunter Reed from Animal Medical Center, Mansfield, Ohio, wants to recognize Lexi Holbrook, Pet Care Attendant: "Lexi has done an amazing job of boosting our online presence. As a result, we are attracting more and more new clients. She has also been organizing fun activities for our daycare, and many dog owners are bringing their furry friends just to be a part of them. Keep up the fantastic work! We truly appreciate everything you do."

Christina Lazo from Balfour Animal Hospital, Fenwick, Ontario, wants to recognize Brittany Poulin, Hospital Manager: "Brittany and I became Practice Managers at the same time. Since then we have developed an amazing bond. I don't think I would be able to do this without her by my side. I appreciate her more than she will ever know. Brittany, you have been such an amazing friend and coworker. The staff at Main West and Balfour are so very lucky to have a Manager as hard-working, dedicated, and companionate as you are."

Tina Green from Purrfect Care Feline Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio, wants to recognize Emily Carney, Lead Veterinary Technician: "I wanted to give a shout-out to Emily-she is always willing to jump in and help me with maintenance issues around the hospital as well as always keeping our hospital clean and organized.  I appreciate her looking for ways to improve efficiency as well as staff well-being!  Emily, you rock!"

Danielle Mercado from Leland Vet Clinic, Mableton, Georgia, wants to recognize Lisa Goodman, Lead Receptionist: "Lisa has been at Leland Vet Clinic for 17 years! She has developed such a great relationship with our clients and is such a well-known face at our front desk. I am beyond thankful and appreciative of everything Lisa has done for Leland and myself. She has such vigor and passion for the care of animals and the service to our clients, it is unwavering and so hard to find in people these days. I can never express enough how much I truly appreciate Lisa and how lucky we are to have her!"

Tammy Putnam from Richmond Veterinary Clinic, Richmond, Kentucky, wants to recognize the entire RVC Team: "A big shout out and thank you to the entire RVC team as they navigated changing to both the new Vetcove Home Delivery Platform and PetDesk/Vetstoria within 3 weeks!  You all were great with providing tips, helping to make sure everything was running smoothly, and enduring so much training!  I am proud to be your HM and appreciate all you do!!"

Dana Myers from Doctors Park Veterinary Clinic, Canfield, Ohio, wants to recognize Dawn Conklin, IT Support: "I just wanted to make sure Dawn knows how awesome she truly is!  She knows her stuff, is very fun to talk to and work with, and gets the job done!  Wanted to give her a big THANK YOU for always being so helpful and easy (and PATIENT) to work with. :) "

Michelle Metzner from Parkside Animal Care Center, Green Bay, Wisconsin, wants to recognize Sarah Groeschel, CSR, and Sidney Stedjee, CSR: "I want to take a moment to give a shout-out to two of our amazing CSR's, Sidney and Sarah!  They do a fantastic job keeping our social media going with photos and relevant information for our clients. They are always willing to cover extra shifts, do an amazing job of training new CSRs, decorate the lobby for different holidays, unpack orders, and keep track of the food inventory. We would be lost without Sidney and Sarah. They truly are the backbone of our front desk!  Thank you Sidney and Sarah for all that you do every day!"

Kattie Edson from Simsbury Veterinary Hospital, Simsbury, Connecticut, wants to recognize the entire SVH Team: "Their abilities and resilience to take on the numerous challenges/hurdles that the hospital has been presented with in the recent months."

Eric Detrick from Pleasant Hills Pet Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, wants to recognize Sara Smith, Vet Assistant: "Sara is a true Rock Star! She keeps our inventory in check and within budget. She is an amazing multi-tasker who will cover Treatment, Pharmacy, Tech appointments, and help answer phones all in the same shift. Thank you Sara for all you do. So thankful to have you on Team Pleasant Hills!"

Megan McGregor from Animal Medical Clinic of St. Charles, St. Charles, Illinois, wants to recognize Hope Wojciechowski, Technician: "Hope is such a joy to have at the clinic!  Her upbeat, easy-going attitude makes every day a little easier, no matter what challenge may be presented to us.  Thank you for sharing your "good vibes" with us every day, Hope!"

David Gagnon from Kaukauna Veterinary Clinic, Kaukauna, Wisconsin, wants to recognize Patty Vosters, CVT: "Patty is an integral part of our team. She not only provides good patient care, but she comes to work with a great sense of humor. Her hard work and good spirit are definitely appreciated."

Cord Kivi from Parker Way Veterinary Clinic, Mount Vernon, Washington, wants to recognize Ymelda Sanchez, Customer Care Specialist: "Ymelda has a strong work ethic and maintains a positive attitude in high-stress situations. She is always available to help with any appointment needs and is very good at multitasking. Whenever we have a primarily Spanish-speaking client, I trust her to facilitate the conversation to make those owners feel heard and let them better understand my findings for their animals."

Aubrey Mills from Helping Hands Veterinary Clinic, Lynnwood, Washinton, wants to recognize Kellie Bourdin, Veterinary Assistant: "Kellie is one of our Super Assistants. She is always on time, positive, and able to accommodate anything on the fly! She is such an important part of our team."

Kim Shifflett from Yellow Springs Veterinary Clinic, Frederick, Maryland, wants to recognize the entire team: "The whole team has really been stepping up to help each other out, cover shifts, and show support where it's needed to make everyone's days go as smoothly as possible."

Rachel Burton, HM and Tyler Williams, COS from Animal Hospital at West Ridge, Bowling Green, Ohio, want to recognize their team: "We are thankful daily for being surrounded by an amazing work family. They're dedicated, supportive, helpful, genuine, solution-oriented, loving, and encouraging to each other. We are very lucky to have each other and be able to find joy and fun daily. Deanna Dorer from Briargate Boulevard Animal Hospital, Colorado Springs, Colorado, wants to recognize John Graham, IT Support: "John has been absolutely amazing to work with! We had to do a rewire, new router, switch, and all the things with wifi and he was and has been SO patient and kind! He explains things that I can understand easily (IT is NOT my thing at all) and does not get frustrated if I don't understand at first. AND...he was willing to be on the phone until almost midnight his time getting the cutover done and making sure we could be up and running first thing the next morning. He also checked in and called me BEFORE I had a chance to call him the next day and continued checking in to make sure everything was up and working like it was supposed to. He is truly a WONDERFUL person to work with and talk to!! THANK YOU JOHN from not only me, but all of us at BBAH!!!"

Amy Klotz from Operations-Regional Manager, Greater Cleveland Region, Ohio, wants to recognize Heather Zahm, Hospital Manager: "Heather was recently promoted to Hospital Manager at Massillon Animal Hospital. She has shown amazing initiative in learning her new role and is a rockstar! Brittany Klopp from Central Animal Hospital, Petaluma, California, wants to recognize Ashley Atkin, DVM: "Dr. Atkin is one of the most kind, caring, and dedicated vets I've had the pleasure to work with. She is an amazing teacher to staff and clients and is always willing to help out where needed. I dont know what we would do without her and I thought it was important for her to know how appreciated she is. Thank you, Dr. Atkin!"

Nicole Curler from the OPS team wants to recognize Aislynn Rodeghiero, Director of Employee Experience: "Aislynn has been a great support and mentor over the past few weeks. Her kindness and knowledge have helped me navigate some difficult situations. Thank you for everything!"

Nicole Curler from the OPS team also wants to recognize Mike Koehler, Chief People Officer: "Mike has brought a new life to Vetcor. He will jump in when needed, supports all areas of Vetcor, and is happy to share insight. I'm thankful for all the growth, togetherness, and knowledge he's bringing to Vetcor."

Alannah Labesky from the OPS team wants to recognize Brie Richardson, Hospital Manager: "Brie has been assisting with HM duties at a nearby location while we've been recruiting an HM.  She has been so helpful to not only to myself but to the team as well.  Thank you, Brie!"

Agi Peplau from A Cat's Place, Norwalk, Connecticut, wants to recognize the entire ACP Team: "I want to thank my entire team for all of their hard work and dedication. We have been short-staffed for about a month and the team has stepped up tremendously. Special shout out to Dave Prescott our CVT for his leadership skills in trying to keep the day on track, Jamie Mollo our CCS/Tech for running between the front desk and hospital always willing to help where we need her, Kim Ferrara our CCS for covering shifts whenever we need it,  Mia Thomas our CCS for holding down the fort up front when we need to "borrow" Kim or Jamie, and Andy Soyland our Lead Tech for staying cool no matter what the day throws at us. Everyone has really gone above and beyond and I appreciate everyone so much."

Krystle Bernier from the OPS team wants to recognize David Foley, Legal: "Dave - a heartfelt shout-out to you, for being an invaluable resource, liaison, and mentor. Your support in navigating the Canadian market is truly appreciated! Thank you for being an exceptional part of the team! I am so grateful for your guidance and support!"

Angie Boatwright from Carthage Animal Hospital, Carthage, North Carolina, wants to recognize Courtney Brown, Vet Assistant: "Courtney is always positive and a pleasure to work with. She is always willing to help out a fellow team member and willing to come in on her day off if she is needed. She stays busy and works diligently at keeping things organized. Courtney is definitely a "unicorn"."

Angie Boatwright also wants to recognize Shanda Preble, Customer Care Specialist: "We had a client that Shanda has known for a long time. The client had her dog euthanized. She stepped outside and had a mental breakdown. She was wailing, screaming, asking where she was, asking where her dog was. Shanda stayed with the client to try to keep her calm until EMS arrived. The entire staff thanks Shanda for doing this."

Lisa Adaes from Parkway Veterinary Hospital, West Roxbury, Massachusetts, wants to recognize Jess Campisi, Regional Manager: "Jess Thank You for all you do! Jess is a great mentor to me and so many others! Thank you for always understanding and supporting me. I know I can always count on Jess!"

Jolene O’Brien from Berrien Veterinary Services, Baroda, Michigan, wants to recognize Carey Wells, LVT: "I am thankful that Carey has been so helpful being scheduled in surgery/anesthesia so much lately since we are down an additional licensed tech at the moment. I really appreciate her!"

Beth Cosme from ABC Animal & Bird Clinic, Sugar Land, Texas, wants to recognize Gaby Canelo, LVT: "Gaby is that rare, special employee who is good at everything! She is always graceful, approachable, calm under pressure, and can take any challenge we throw at her. Along with her skills as an LVT, she wears many hats in our clinic including Inventory Goddess, IT troubleshooter extraordinaire, and pinch hitter receptionist. p.s. she is camera shy!"

Becky goes above and beyond and even though she has only been at our clinic for a few weeks she has proven to be a dedicated team player and wonderful coworker! Thanks for all you do Becky!"

Mallory Joyner from Ambassador Animal Hospital, Fayetteville, North Carolina, wants to recognize Tiffeny Philipps, Vet Assistant: "I would like to recognize one of our veterinary assistants, Tiffeny! She takes initiative by tending to cleaning instruments and wrapping packs in surgery prep and teaching other assistants how to do those things. She helps keep up with the autoclave maintenance and helps answer phones and schedule appointments up front when needed. She always keeps a calm demeanor when dealing with clients and patients and is helpful to the doctors by maintaining good appointment flow!"

Mallory Joyner also wants to recognize Debbie Latta, Client Care Specialist: "I would like to recognize one of our client care specialists, Debbie! She frequently goes around the counter just to talk to and interact with the patients which creates a personal feel for clients and especially makes the pets happy to get attention! She finishes her busy work timely and does a great job at being our groomer's own personal secretary!"

Katrina Guell from Scottsdale Cat Clinic, Scottsdale, Arizona, wants to recognize Amber Armstrong, Vet Assistant: "Amber always leads the team by example. She swoops in and is always making sure things run smoothly and efficiently throughout the day. Her patient care, cat handling, and client skills are without a doubt one of a kind. We don't know what we would do without her."

Michelle Immel DVM from We Care Animal Hospital, Clintonville, Wisconsin, wants to recognize Amy Ryckman, DVM, and Chelsie Keiper, DVM: "These two amazing associates continue to work tirelessly day after day to help as many patients and clients as possible. They continue to train new support staff and create an enjoyable working environment. Work does not actually seem like "work" with these incredible Doctors. I appreciate their support, determination, and dedication more than they will ever know."
