Our Patients are Superheroes

Our Patients are Superheroes
Superheroes come in many shapes and sizes

October 10, 2024

The dictionary says that superheroes are benevolent fictional characters with superhuman powers, but these patients are very real and definitely super! Take a look at some of the patients that our hospitals have had the honor of seeing over the last couple of weeks.

Lexington-Bedford Animal HospitalLexington-Bedford Animal Hospital - Lexington, Massachusetts
This super patient is appropriately named Turtle. Turtle is a red-eared slider, the most common pet turtle in the US. Here Turtle is under the expert care of Certified Veterinary Technician, Maddie. Maddie not only dazzled Turtle with her blood draw skills but also impressed her team at Lexington-Bedford Animal Hospital and us! Turtle had a great visit and but likely wouldn’t mind waiting a bit to get her blood drawn again.

Franklin County Animal HospitalFranklin County Animal Hospital - Rocky Mount, Virginia
Look at these super cuddlers. Dr. Annis and Licensed Veterinary Technician Wendy at Franklin County Animal Hospital took a moment to get some squeezes in with these two rats. These little Ratatoulle’s are up for adoption at the Franklin County Animal Shelter and we hope with photos like these they can snuggle up with a family soon.

Animal Clinic New LenoxAnimal Clinic New Lenox - New Lenox, Illinois
Meet Maurice, otherwise known as Batman, who is out to rescue any sad hearts by offering his head for pets. Maurice is an excellent patient at Animal Clinic New Lenox and is currently looking for some human superheroes to rescue him and his buddy Superman. Both Batman and Superman are known around the Animal Clinic and Chi-Town Pitties, Inc as love bugs. They won’t need a beacon of light to come to your rescue, they will be by your side all the time.

Ramsey Veterinary HospitalRamsey Veterinary Hospital - Ramsey, New Jersey
It isn’t all about size, but Izum is one of the biggest superhero feline patients that the team at Ramsey Veterinary Hospital has ever seen. They considered it an honor to meet such a sweet yet majestic European bred Maine Coon cat. He was very patient with his admirers, which you have to be when you have such purrrr-fect superpowers.

West Shore Animal ClinicWest Shore Animal Clinic - Warwick, Rhode Island
Leo could be Captain America, Ironman, or the Hulk on any given day. He lets his mom, Dr. Gelsomino, dress him up, but no matter what costume he wears, he always makes everyone smile, which is his real superpower. The team at West Shore Animal Clinic says there is something special about Leo. Dr. Gelsomino is also special! She started at the front desk at West Shore Animal Clinic, worked her way up to technician, and then returned after she earned her DVM degree.
