Hospitals Connecting with Their Communities
Meet Gnocci, Rigatoni, and Pastina!

August 29, 2024

We partner with hospitals that have strong connections to their communities. We recognize that hospitals serve their areas in different ways. Take a look at some unique ways our hospitals support their communities.

Bogue Animal HospitalBogue Animal Hospital - Wichita, Kansas
Jimmy is feeling pretty proud, he just passed the evaluation for therapy work with Love on a Leash. His mom, Allyson, is one of the Registered Veterinary Technicians at Bogue Animal Hospital. Now Jimmy has to complete 10 hours of supervised visitations at different locations throughout the area. He has his sights set on being a therapy dog and we know he is going to be one of the best. His community will be lucky to have him.

High Ridge Animal HospitalHigh Ridge Animal Hospital - Stamford, Connecticut
The cat distribution system can be quite active, and luckily for these kittens, the team at High Ridge Animal Hospital was there to give them the care they needed. The three stray kittens landed with the team just days after being born. Rachel the hospital manager is caring for them until they are old enough to be fostered, but the whole team is involved in bottle feeding them and they named them Gnocci, Rigatoni, and Pastina.

Animal House of ChicagoAnimal House of Chicago - Chicago, Illinois
Chip and Sweets are the best of friends and they are a hit for the clients and patients at Animal House of Chicago. Chip is a senior Rex Rabbit, he helps the team run quality control on the bunny boarding exclosures. Sweets is Dr. Byron’s Red Footed Tortoise, he has appeared on WTTW’s Chicago Tonight news show and has been known to give his friends rides on his back now and again. They have been together for years and nothing will ever come between them.

Elk Creek Animal HospitalElk Creek Animal Hospital - Louisville, Kentucky
Mike Wazowski arrived at the Arrow Fund with an eye injury and Elk Creek Animal Hospital stepped in to get Mike the care he needed. The Arrow Fund helps heal abused and severely neglected animals through medical care, advocacy, and education. Mike has since had his staples out and he was the best boy during his visit. Mike is a playful puppy and has a ton of personality and sharp little puppy teeth. Mike will be ready for a foster-to-adopt home soon.

Littleton Animal HospitalLittleton Animal Hospital - Littleton, Massachusetts
Clinic pets brighten everyone’s day and Belle is no exception. She has been the resident kitty at Littleton Animal Hospital for eight years. Clients might catch her sitting in the front window on her cat tower, but she also is known to be at reception gently demanding pets. She does a lot of sleeping on the job because she is the queen bee and can do as she pleases. If you are lucky enough to meet her give her some head scratches and she will love you forever.
