Cute Animal Takeover

Cute Animal Takeover
Nail trim snuggles for Giorgio

September 10, 2024

It was a cute animal takeover at our hospitals the past few weeks. Whether it's a snuggly or hesitant animal, our team members know just how to meet their patients where they are so they can have a visit that is enjoyable.

East Holmes Veterinary ClinicEast Holmes Veterinary Clinic - Berlin, Ohio
The Traveling Acres Petting Zoo and its animals are friends and clients of East Holmes Veterinary Clinic. Most recently, the team at East Holmes got to meet Sid the baby sloth. Sid is seven months old, and she loves to snack on sweet potatoes, cucumbers, and squash. When she isn’t getting snuggled by someone, she loves to hang out on her bed with her soft baby blankets. Last month she hit a couple of milestones—she started to hang on to branches on her own and began eating upside down.

Turkeyfoot Family Veterinary Center Turkeyfoot Family Veterinary Center - Akron, Ohio
There is a reason for all these smiles and goggles—Turkeyfoot Family Veterinary Center now offers laser therapy to all clients that can benefit from the relief it offers. The team is excited to have another tool on hand to care for their patients. Since it can be used in so many circumstances such as post-op, ear infections, as wound treatment, on older pets, and on pets living with chronic conditions like arthritis, it can make a difference in so many pets' lives.

Animal Hospital of Sun PrairieAnimal Hospital of Sun Prairie Sun Prairie, Wisconsin
Shelby, a certified veterinary technician at Animal Hospital of Sun Prairie, brings along her spunky pug, Potato, to the hospital often—so much so that Potato is now a part-time receptionist. You can tell he takes his job seriously. On any given day, Potato promotes contests and wears costumes at the hospital. It is a bit of a family affair for Shelby, not only is her furbaby often with her, she also met her husband at Animal Hospital of Sun Prairie.

Sanford Animal HospitalSanford Animal Hospital - Sanford, North Carolina
It is the season for outdoor activities, and Sanford Animal Hospital is one of the many hospitals in our network using these events as a team-building opportunity and a way to support their community. The staff and their furbabies had a wonderful time and enjoyed a beautiful morning walking and running in the Walk/Run for Their Lives 5k put on by the Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption organization.

Wintergreen Animal HospitalWintergreen Animal Hospital - Erie, Pennsylvania
Giorgio was just the right size to snuggle in with Emerson for his nail trim. Giorgio also got to visit Dr. Amanda, and he was a perfect gentleman. No doubt Emerson, a technician at Wintergreen Animal Hospital, helped Giorgio be his best self. Emerson is known to recognize fearful pets and works hard to make them comfortable and make their experience better.
